Setsugekka Camellia has exquisite semi-double white flowers that appear in the cool season. The blooms are large with ruffled edges and prominent yellow stamens. The foliage is glossy dark green and makes an excellent screen or perennial foundation plant.
Vigourus and elegant, 'Setugekka' is beloved for its large, 10cm sparkling white blooms, which are strongly undulated and crimpled. A boss of golden stamens crowns the heart of the flower. These flowers are produced over a fairly long period from early to mid season and in such profusion that this exquisite camellia will always create a gorgeous sight when in full bloom.
Introduced from Japan, 'Setugekka' can be translated into English meaning 'Snow, Moon and Flowers'. Great on its own in the garden, or even better as a hedge as it grows fairly rapidly. A real winner!
