This is a well deserving plant, known for its broad racemes of scented, heavy-textured flowers appearing early in the season. A deciduous vine with 35cm hairy leaves composed of 13 ovate leaflets. Pealike flower marked with yellow are produced in 15cm long racemes. A vigorous climber twining counterclockwise to 9m if allowed!
Also known as 'Shiro Kapitan', this variety has large, heavy-textured flowers that have a much sweeter scent than those of the Japanese and Chinese wisterias.
