A fantastic fully outdoor hardy variety of Hibiscus which has lush violet-blue flowers in summer - early autumn and has very decorative lush deep green glossy leaves. A fully hardy variety which is easy to grow, can grow to approx 2-3m tall when mature, however can be pruned to keep smaller. Can be grown directly in the border or in a large container on the patio.
Culinary note: The flowers can be infused to make a mildly citrus flavoured tea. The petals can be cut and added to fruit salads too.
Also known as Rose of Sharon or Hollyhock Hibiscus or Cold Hardy Hibiscus. Plant in a sunny position where soils are average to fertile and free-draining.
