Olearia furfuracea is a small bushy shrub that is native to New Zealand, found naturally growing in coastal scrub and forest margins in the northern half of the North Island.
The shrub will reach a height of approximately 3m. The foliage of the tree is leathery and dark green with toothed edges.
In summer daisy like flowers occur in clusters of brown fuzzy stalks. Plant Olearia furfuracea in sun or semi- shade, makes a great coastal plant and good hedge.
