CAREX FLAGELLIFERA RED 10CM

This native New Zealand is the red variety of Carex flagellifera. Beautiful aesthetic when landscaped to contrast with other varieties of grasses or ground cover. The best colour can be achieved by planting in sunny well drained soil.

Great for mass plantings in beds and borders, and in low-maintenance city and courtyard gardens. Complements rocks and specimen trees. Spectacular effects can be achieved by planting carex grasses en masse to create a natural grassland appearance. Carex flagellifera also looks great planted in a container, either in a mixed planting or on its own, as it will arch over the sides of the pot.

Also known as the 'Glen Murray Sedge' or 'Trip Me Up Tussock'.

Carex flagellifera grows up to 500mm in height and flowers from September through to November.
