Cortaderia Richardii - The South Island Toe Toe is a beautiful smaller Toe Toe that can be found from the coast to the mountains. It is a smaller growing variety which has all the same attributes of the larger toe toe but grows alot smaller, to only 1x1m.
The South Island Toe Toe is quick to grow and very tough and can grow at any altitude, in wet or dry conditions. It looks great amongst rocks in the modern landscape or larger garden. The softness of the flowers are a great way of contrasting with modern or industrial architecture.
Toe Toe's naturally grow along water margins, and lend themselves to planting along streams, ponds or coast. They naturally occur in a large clumps, so are well suited to group plantings and look great planted en masse.
