Forms a low spreading shrub with slightly sharp, needle-like foliage. Yellow, lacy foliage on the ends of new growth tips, changes to gold, then to bronze in colour in winter. The arching branches also produce small cones that can provide a source of food for birds and wildlife. It is a good option for ground cover, rock gardens, or for cascading over retaining walls.
It needs to be in a sunny position to bring out the golden colour.
It is quite hardy but it needs well drained soil.
One of the most dramatic colour-changing conifers.
Grows to around 0.5 x 1.5m.
