This is a spreading evergreen shrub from the mint family with aromatic blue-grey/green foliage and pretty, mauve-blue flowers on arching, square, grey stems that are covered in dense hairs.
Hot overhead sun is preferred and the plant will tolerate a wide range of soils, even poor soils. Water regularly to establish, but ensure good drainage as the plant dislikes wet feet. Drought tolerant once established. Well-suited to coastal conditions.
Prune lightly immediately after flowering to stimulate lateral branching and to keep compact.
