A small spreading tree recognised by its papery red back and explosion of small fuchsia blossoms in spring. Followed by small berries ripening from Christmas through Summer. The fruit is quite delicious, and can be eaten raw or if you don't eat too many & manage to collect enough to make a pot of jam or two.
