Leucospermum Blanche Ito
A striking hybrid which is a very prolific flower producer. Has an erect spreading growth habit. The terminal red flowers are produced in Spring to early Summer.
Plant in an open sunny situation in a moist yet deep well draining acidic soil. It will respond to moisture during Summer and during periods of prolonged dryness. It is drought tolerant once established. Avoid fertilisers.
Pick the flowers as a form of pruning. Prune back after flowering to enhance flower production next season.
A striking shrub for any border and coastal garden. The flowers borne on long stems are excellent for floral use.
