‘After Dark’ is a small to medium tree, noted for it’s spectacular foliage. The foliage changed colour with softer purple tones of the new growth in spring, to the dark-almost black foliage in autumn through winter. When in flower, the small, white, tea tree-like flowers contrast brilliantly with the dark purple foliage. Excellent plant for foliage use in floral work. Grows approximately 5m high x 3.5m wide in 10 years.
Adaptable to most well drained soils in open, sunny positions. Plants can be trimmed in late spring to shape an size if required. Can withstand light frosts once established. Tolerates coastal conditions.
