Escallonia is a popular shrub in NZ, because it's hardy, evergreen, quick-growing and trouble-free. It can be grown as a hedge or screen - even in coastal gardens, and is easy to maintain.
The bushy plants of Escallonia 'Apple Blossom' offer glossy leaves and, from summer to autumn, pinky-white flowers. Plants can be used for hedging, but also look very attractive as free-standing specimens in the border, amongst herbaceous perennials. Height and Spread: 2.5m
