Euphorbia glauca is a coastal perennial herb that is endemic New Zealand and the Chatham Islands. Found growing on coastal cliffs, banks, slopes and sand dunes. It is also known by the common names of waiūatuawaiū-o-kahukuraNew Zealand sea spurge, or shore spurge.

The coastal plant grows quickly and has multiple erect stems (1m) from the base of the plant the glauca species in particular can make a good ground cover because of this. Easy to distinguish from other species because of its milky sap, blue green alternate foliage and sporadic small red flowers.

The Euphorbia glauca is quite a hardy plant and can create great contrast in any garden. Does best in well drained soiled.
