Hibiscus 'Blushing Bride' is a showy, deciduous, flowering shrub offering summer interest. Blooming abundantly and continuously through summer and into fall, the plant sets large, rich pink double flowers that have a tropical look and blush pink to white as they mature. Borne on slender branches, the romantic ruffled, papery, pompom flowers attract butterflies and birds.
Grows to between 1.5-2.5m.
Culinary note: The flowers can be infused to make a mildly citrus flavoured tea. The petals can be cut and added to fruit salads too.
Also known as Rose of Sharon or Hollyhock Hibiscus or Cold Hardy Hibiscus. Plant in a sunny position where soils are average to fertile and free-draining.
