Hosta 'Fireworks' has distinguished lineage. It occurred around 2001 as a sport of Hosta 'Loyalist', which was a sport of Hosta 'Patriot', which was a sport of Hosta 'Francee', which was a sport of Hosta 'Fortunei'. The end result is a dwarf Hosta with a habit that can strangely suggest Fireworks! It also resembles a very good garden plant. The RHS agree and awarded it their AGM in 2012.
