Podocarpus henkelii or 'Henkel's Yellowwood' is a South African conifer that is popular in cultivation as a very attractive specimen tree with elegantly drooping foliage.
The trunk is generally straight and it starts off nicely domed but assumes a pyramidical shape as it matures. Can grow to 20x5m over a lifetime.
It is dioecious so requires a plant of the opposite sex if you want it to produce viable seed.
A very attractive ornamental tree that is tough and long lived. Makes for an intersting container specimen while young.
